Nintendo has had a strong position in Sweden since the early 80's. An entire generation of TV players grew up with NES - Nintendo Entertainment System, also popularly called Nintendo 8-bit. Immortal game classics like Super Mario Bros. and The Legend of Zelda saw the light of day on the NES. A combination of these unique game ideas and a diligent and ingenious work by the Swedish general agent Bergsala led to great success in Sweden. NES still has a strong following today and characterizes today's gaming culture. This book tells the story behind the success from Bergsala's early meetings with Nintendo in Japan to the bitter 90's when the currency was devalued and hard years hit Nintendo. Memories from i.a. Owe Bergsten and Lars Jarhamn are retold.
