Published in 2012, this book was created with the objective to help in the advancement of accessibility in video games. To support developers and designers, so that they take accessibility into account from the beginning of the creation phase, to ensure that their games do not discriminate and that they will be able to be used by the greatest possible number and diversity of players.
We also want to provide professionals and staff who work supporting people with disabilities and the elderly with examples of beneficial use of video games, so that they can incorporate these into their daily work and find creative ways in the rehabilitation and promotion of autonomous life. And, above all, we want to support people with disabilities and the elderly in the use of these games, to improve skills, participate and enjoy, as a right that is recognized and must be ensured.
