Mariela González
Chrono Trigger is a video game that has managed to leave its mark and face the dangers of the passage of time, like its protagonist, but also much more: the change of generation and mentality, language barriers, different versions and sometimes controversial. All this without losing for a moment the unconditional love of the fans.
Its successor, Chrono Cross , picked up the story and took on the challenge of carving out its own personality, using the same seed but spreading its roots in different terrains. Also this second title has grown over the years in recognition and has marked a very valuable path for other JRPGs. There has to be something in this universe capable of lasting and connecting with players twenty years later, and it's definitely worth getting on the Epoch and exploring it.
In Más Allá del Tiempo, Mariela González proposes a journey through the context of the series, its most notorious characteristics and its impact on the genre, including a photographic report of one of the most complete merchandising collections in the world and interviews with two of the members most relevant in its development: the director Masato Kato and the composer Yasunori Mitsuda.
