This work presents an ambitious interpretation of the influence of video games on the way we understand our present. It brings together 20 diverse voices that talk about the shared influence between digital games, the culture they generate and our way of understanding the everyday present.
The participants in this work wonder about the different manifestations and interactions of digital games with the reality that surrounds us. For this, an exercise of reflection has been shared to draw some of the main lines of force on the ideological potential of digital entertainment, the construction of imaginaries or the interpretation of the past from the contemporary and interactive reading offered by video games.
In this way, a wide range of research, reflections and stories have been gathered that will find different types of interest in the different types of readers interested in video games as a cultural artifact.
